Can you believe it, i've finally managed to find two minutes to update my journal and i've gone blank!
It's winter here in Oz and so far it has been miserable and wet. I'm like a bear in winter, i need to hibernate. The low-light and short days really drive me crazy.
I'm still stuck in my rather large rut and am hating the quilting industry more and more each day - I won't elaborate why
I have been (slowly) working on a new piece, something i've wanted to do for a while, and something i'll possible do as a series. The photo is absolutely dreadful i'm afraid.
The pieced background and the model aren't quite finished yet, then it needs a good press before I quilt and embellish it. I sketched the model (inspired from a 1950's pattern book) then resized her (400%) using a photocopier until she was approx. 45" tall.
I'm going to attempt to do my first feature. Fingers crossed that i do it right.
I absolutely LOVE Karin's work and this year I purchased one of her originals. I would like to own many more! Please take the time to check out her gallery.
